Area Attractions

The Home of American Golf
The Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area has a storied legacy of golf unlike any other place in the U.S. In 2014, the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open Championships were played back-to-back on the same golf course for the first time ever. With over 30 golf courses within a 15-mile radius, the area includes the highest concentration of courses featured in Golf Digest’s America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses.
But there’s lots more to do after you birdie 18. There’s world-class dining and shopping, outdoor adventures, equestrian facilities, historical treasures and more. It’s an ideal family vacation destination, and also a great choice for corporate events and group golf outings.
